Itwas in 1980 when the association decided to buy
Becours hamlet. It was a very small desert village.
A dozen orso barns and houses to 20 km north of Millau
in Aveyron.
After more than 35 years without occupier, the village
came alive once again with the arrival of "Eclaireuses
et Eclaireurs de France" .
The war and the difficult life had push inhabitants
to the larger towns.
However how many generations had successively lived
here?
Houses exposed to the south in front of "causses",
waited strong arms to rebuild them..
Hamlet grouped around its "callade" (stones
street) and yard presents great unity(by building
materials) and great diversity architechtural.
When we arrived, several frams were destryoed, houses
teared, no water no electricity.
But dream is now a reality, we have together built
a place in wich we can meet and exchange.
